I am a licensed mental health counselor by trade, but what does that really tell you? I am a Dilemma Detangler, a Motivation Master, a Calmness Coach, and a Doubt Demolisher. I’ll let you in on a little secret. Everything you need to cope with the struggles you’re going through is inside of you as you read this. My job is to act as a mirror so that you can truly see yourself for the first time. I will act as a sounding board for you to start the conversations that you need to have with yourself and potentially with others. I provide a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space where you can feel free to express yourself and be as open as you feel comfortable.
As for the nuts and bolts, I received my bachelor’s degree from Hunter College, CUNY in Psychology with Special Honors and my master’s degree from Baruch College, CUNY in Mental Health Counseling. I am licensed in mental health counseling and specialize in working with individuals who need help learning to cope with stress, anxiety and depressive symptoms. I also have vast experience working with clients who have survived trauma during various stages of life. I am an expert at time management and organization.

I am a mental health counselor. I am also a creative (crocheter, knitter, painter, musician, etc.), a “nature junkie”, a bibliophile, a friend, a sibling, a third-culture individual, and many other things. I say all that to say this, people are complex. We have so many layers to our identities that it’s almost impossible for them not to overlap and sometimes conflict. This intersectionality highlights the importance of viewing people in their entirety. It is my goal to create a welcoming environment that foster’s healthy development in my clients’ lives.
Academically, I have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychopathology from CUNY School of Professional Studies and a Master of Arts Degree (MA) in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling from New York University. I am trained in rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical and behavioral therapy (DBT), emotion focused therapy (EFT), humanistic therapy, and logotherapy.
As I’ve held many roles in the mental health field, I have had the privilege to support individuals with personality disorders, anxiety, depression, primary & secondary trauma, eating disorders, codependency, and a variety of other concerns. I’ve learned that healing looks different for everyone. This is why my approach to counseling is eclectic. I practice through a multicultural trauma lens that’s customized to suit the unique needs of each client. What will healing look like for you?
